Welcome!
Here's a short story to explain to you a little bit about who I am and what all this is about.
When I was 16, my friend and I and our mothers were discussing the revival of Les Miserables we had just seen on Broadway.* My excitement and passion couldn't be contained. I prattled for hours until we all came to the same conclusion: THIS had to be my profession. This blabbing mess of excitement was too much a part of my life to deny.
Fast forward to five years later. I'm studying Journalism and Theatre at Fordham, refusing to give up on this childhood dream. Somehow my two favorite things, prattling and analyzing theatre, have blended into... well... this! This wonderful, zealous, stream-of-consciousness Broadway blog where I will reflect on anything and everything performance-related, from obscure off-off-off Broadway productions to critical reviews to production history lessons to finding good ticket deals to... well, I don't want to give anything away. Guess you'll just have to stay tuned and see for yourself.
*2006 revival, staring: Alexander Gemignani, Norm Lewis, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Aaron Lazar, Adam Jacobs, Jenny Galloway, and Lea Salonga. Didn't want to over-geek before, but I still can't get over how awesome this cast was.
